The following statement in response to the Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron’s temporary restraining order against the MTA can be attributed to Lisa Daglian, Executive Director, Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee to the MTA (PCAC):
“We shouldn’t even be having this conversation. Yet, instead of celebrating a fleet of new electric buses that are finally able to move on city streets as a result of Congestion Pricing, we are dealing with the fallout of its pause. Governor Hochul’s unilateral and irresponsible decision is what’s already harming the ‘typical New York family’ who relies on NYCT buses as their primary mode of transportation. The Governor is solely responsible for this problem, and only she has the power to unpause the pause and get New York City moving again.”
