Brit Byrd
Brit is Senior Planner at BFJ Planning. Previously, he was Senior Planner for Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, where he was a primary author for The 2025 Comprehensive Plan for Brooklyn. Before working as an urban planner, he worked for the City of New York at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM). He served on the Board of Directors at the Greene Hill Food Cooperative in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn from 2021-2024. He is a daily Q train rider and uses the LIRR Atlantic Branch to travel to Jamaica and visit his in-laws on Long Island.
Brit holds a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University, and a Master’s in City and Regional Planning from the Pratt Institute Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment (GCPE). Brit holds a certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
