Congestion Pricing Ruling a Major Victory for Riders

The following statement can be attributed to Lisa Daglian, Executive Director, Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee to the MTA (PCAC):      “Today, the rule of law was upheld, and Congestion Pricing stands strong.  We applaud Judge Liman for his decision that the program is indeed constitutional and democratic — and we know that it’s working as intended, delivering less traffic, cleaner air, and critical transit funding. This is a major victory for millions of riders and a clear message that the law cannot be changed on a whim. We thank Governor Hochul and MTA Leadership for continuing to have the courage to defend this transformative and historic program. The cameras are staying on!”
