On December 6,2018, MTA Chief Financial Officer Bob Foran and MTA Chief of Staff Helene Fromm spoke at our year-end PCAC meeting.
Mr. Foran explained the complexity of MTA finances and the need to identify sustainable funding. The MTA does not like to raise fares or cut service, so they are diligently working to identify budget adjustments and cost savings. The MTA is limited in what they can do, so it is imperative that the City and State develop additional and alternative funding streams.
