Postponement of the July 10th NYMTC Meeting and Public Workshop
The July 10th meeting of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) and planned public workshop has been postponed at the request of Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell, Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef and Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino. The three Hudson Valley executives, who are principal members of NYMTC, requested the postponement of the meeting until after they have had the opportunity to review the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the Tappan Zee Hudson River Crossing Project.
The July 10th agenda included actions to amend a preferred alternative for the Tappan Zee project into NYMTC’s fiscally-constrained Regional Transportation Plan and its Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), as well as the adoption of a new Transportation Conformity Determination which includes several new projects.
Information about rescheduling the meeting will be released once it is available.
