This morning, LIRR passengers endured a confusing situation as trains were stopped in their tracks due to a power outage and signal malfunctions. Riders were not given necessary information regarding the amount of time the delays would last or even what they should do to complete their trips. Therefore, the LIRRCC gave the following press release calling on the LIRR to improve their communication efforts to riders in such an event.
