Edith Prentiss – The Passing of Our Dear Friend and Fellow Advocate

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our friend and long-time New York City Transit Riders Council (NYCTRC) member Edith Prentiss.  Ms. Prentiss was a dedicated and fierce advocate for all riders and for improving system-wide accessibility. She was appointed by the Public Advocate in 2007 and served on NYCTRC for 14 years. In addition, she was very active in a number of political, civic, and other advocacy organizations, including serving as 1st Vice President of Disabled in Action. We will miss her dearly and will honor her memory through our continued work advocating for riders and improving accessibility for all. Thank you, Edith!!
