With over 845,000 known people currently living in New York City with a disability, how does the MTA accommodate the diverse needs of its riders? This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the important policy and access milestones accomplished along the way.  Join us for a discussion about accessibility technology featuring: Gricelda Cespedes (MTA ADA office); Dustin Jones (Wheely NYC); and Karyl Cafiero (disability advocate, Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee) Christopher Greif NYCTRC

Then, explore the rest of the Museum after hours and experiment with some of the technology and accessibility apps currently available to commuters.

AfterHours at the Transit Museum provides an extended opportunity to explore the Museum. Programs feature panels and experts from the MTA, and from design, urban planning, and engineering fields – all set against the backdrop of our 1936 decommissioned subway station.
