“It’s clear that Rich Davey’s expertise and vision precede him and will lead him back to Boston and Massport. Hearing their Board discuss his qualifications was a bit of déjà vu, a review of his accomplishments leading the NYC transit system at a time of transition – similar to what Massport is facing. We hate to see Rich leave but wish him all the best in his future efforts (and take solace in knowing that there will be one fewer Boston sports fan within city limits). We appreciate all he has done and continues to do to lay the groundwork for successful implementation of congestion pricing: better and more frequent service; safety improvements; and advancing the use of technology. He has led the best team in the nation, with an unwavering focus on riders and a ‘North Star’ of customer service, with the support of Governor Hochul and the legislature. We have faith that the Transit team will continue to serve the region’s 4 million daily riders and ensure that the progress we’ve seen over the past years endures.” |
