Bike/ Ped Member
Andrew Bennett, affectionately known as Drew by his loved ones, is the founder and CEO of Good Co Bike Club LLC. Drew established Good Co. amidst the challenges of the pandemic and social unrest in June 2020, aiming to carve out a safe-haven for cyclists of color in New York City. Through this platform he hopes to enhance member’s overall wellness, support local Black and Minority owned businesses, and promote community.
A lifelong cyclist, Drew defied naysayers who dismissed him as a “grown man on a bike,” staying true to his passion. As gyms shuttered and outdoor activities became vital, Drew initiated casual rides with friends, which soon burgeoned into a movement. A single Instagram post drew 17 cyclists on May 27th, leading to the birth of Good Co Bike Club on June 5th. Since then, Drew has orchestrated over 300 rides, with public events drawing crowds into the thousands, showcasing his knack for community-building.
Driven by the heartfelt testimonials of riders, Drew expanded Good Co’s mission to include Good Co Cares Non-Profit, dedicated to providing free bike education, access, and wellness initiatives, particularly benefiting communities of color. Drew’s tireless efforts have garnered support from esteemed figures like Eric Adams, Brooklyn Borough President/NYC Mayor, as well as partnerships with industry giants like Schwinn Bikes, Cannondale Bikes, SNIPES, Puma, lululemon, the New York Knicks and local establishments such as Fulton Bikes Shop and the Brooklyn Museum.
Good Co has been featured on multiple outlets such as Fox 5, WPIX 11, Essence Magazine, New York Post, and Power 105.1, amplifying Drew’s commitment to inclusivity and community empowerment.
