Benjy Ross

Research and Advocacy Intern

Benjy is an equity and social justice oriented urban planner with a background in sociology and grassroots transportation advocacy. They join the PCAC team as a Research and Advocacy Intern with experience in applying academic theory to find solutions to real world urban problems. Previously, they’ve written articles about the construction of social life within private commercial spaces in Portland, OR. They have also worked to organize multiple rallies for betting transportation, including a canvassing event with over 200 volunteers at 23 different subway stations. They received their undergrad in sociology from Reed College and are currently applying to urban planning master’s programs.
